I've been thinking a lot about Costa Rica. It seems like a beautiful place to visit. Then I saw this video and it sealed the deal: I must go to Costa Rica, if for nothing else, to see the sloth orphans.
I was in Costa Rica in 2009! It's absolutely beautiful. We worked on a banana plantation in the middle of nowhere for three weeks, then spent three weeks travelling. We had some close up experiences with sloths (including a baby sloth!) and iguanas, too. Definitely worth a visit.
Yes, I went with International Student Volunteers, but there are a lot more organisations! You could also look into WWOOFing, which I've done before in other countries.
I should have you talk to my cousins Chantee and Chanel- both of them have traveled to Costa Rica!

ReplyDeleteRaquel,
ReplyDeleteDid you plan that trip through a specific organization?

ReplyDeleteI've heard of WWOOF and know a girl who went to Costa Rica on a WWOOF project. I think Cross Cultural Solutions looks nice, but it's quite expensive.
