An Autumny Breakfast

Last week, I was in a cereal mood.

I tend to have a lot of food moods. My cravings go through phases that can last up to a month, but usually no longer. Luckily, a box of cereal doesn't last that long, anyway.

I wanted something different and when my sights fell upon this box of Nature's Path Organic Pumpkin Flax Plus Granola, I thought, Well, that's seasonally appropriate.

(I also appreciate their earth-friendly packaging.)

The ingredients are as follows:
Rolled oats, evaporated cane juice, soy oil, brown rice flour, pumpkin seeds, flaxseeds, oat syrup solids, sea salt, molasses, cinnamon.

In a 3/4 cup serving, there's 5 grams of dietary fiber and 6 grams of protein. And really, 3/4 of a cup is all you need 'cause this cereal is FILLING!

(banana slices and almond milk not included)

A seedy shot of, well, seeds!

I'm not a big breakfast person, so finding a cereal with some true staying power in a small amount is pretty great. Also, it tastes good!

What have you been eating for breakfast lately?

  1. Cereal never fills me up, either =/ Though it's usually what I have for breakfast anyway ::shrug::

  2. Usually (like the past 4 years) I have a smoothie for breakfast. This past week I've been trying different types of oatmeal- scottish, irish, rolled oats, etc. I've been mixing cinnamon , vanilla, sea salt and sweetener in with the oatmeal and I've found I've stayed fuller longer than even a super protein smoothie.
